Elliptical shape. Medium sized, moderately inflated, thin shells. Brown to blackish shells. A "dip" in the shell exists on the anterior end of the umbo. Giant Floater and Cylindrical Papershell

The cylindrical papershell is more elongated and more inflated than the creeper. The giant floater has a more inflated shell and a straight hinge line compared to the creeper**

Status in the Milwaukee River Basin 4

Both valves and live creepers were found somewhat abundantly in the Milwaukee River Basin. They were seen most commonly on the main branch of Cedar Creek.
