Description

Some Spanish moss located at Lettuce Lake Park in very dry, hot and sunny conditions. Temperature was 88 degrees Fahrenheit. The “bearded” appearance of this moss allowed me to classify it as Spanish moss. The environment was a forest area with a lot of vegetation.

Description

These plants were observed at Lettuce Lake Park in dry, hot and sunny conditions. The temperature was 88 degrees Fahrenheit. The environment was a forested area. The sharp appearance of the leaves and the “grouped” nature of this plant led to me conclude that it is the saw palmetto.

Look for great blue herons in saltwater and freshwater habitats from open coats, marshes, sloughs, riverbanks, and lakes to backyard goldfish ponds. They also forage in grasslands and agricultural fields.

Description

This plant was spotted at Lettuce Lake Park. The weather was hot, dry and sunny and the temperature was 88 degrees Fahrenheit. The environment was a forested area with vast amounts of vegetation. The orientation of the leaves on this plant are characteristic of that for poison ivy, thus allowing me to verify it as such.
