Taken on scuba alongside jetty. These crabs will wear almost anything living but generally favour soft fixed invertebrates (sponges and compound ascidians are popular choices), but they're not averse to wearing tailored bits of Ecklonia radiata (Common Kelp) frond, Codium species algae and the like. (*and,presumably as a stop-gap measure, even dead: there is at least one old but valid record of one seen by divers under an SA jetty that was wearing a rubber thong, also I heard of one seen wearing half a tennis ball!)
