Description

This protist was a sample from a stagnant water in a pond. Two eye spots are very noticeable, with a mouth and possible a digestive system.

This is not a pet. Has a nest on one of trees near the house. Stays pretty still while holding and petting(maybe it likes taking pictures). It was released soon after.

Description

I think the posterior end of this rotifer was pinned under the algae in the upper right corner of the image. The front of its body moved back & forth, but it remained in place. All images 400x magnification.
