SPECIES: Eastern Racer, Coluber constrictor (Linnaeus, 1758)[1]
SUBSPECIES: Everglades Racer, Coluber constrictor paludicola Auffenberg and Babbit, 1955
SPECIMEN: juvenile
COLOR MORPH: Light Blue and Dark Blue Spectacled juvenile
DIAGNOSIS: Body blotches dark blue, background light blue, dorsal (top) of head dark blue; white broken spectacle-like, thin, short lines circle each eye; ventral (underside) solid white.
VARIETY: Common blue color morph in juveniles but not persist into adults.
LOCALITY: 920 St. Andrews Blvd, Naples, FL 34113
LATITUDE, LONGITUDE: 26°6’25.9” N, 81°42’54.7” W (26.1072, -81.7152)
