This eyed click beetle was found in a bug net that I had left on the ground overnight. It played dead when handled, sitting still and tucking its legs in for several minutes before becoming active again. I even got to see it click and flip itself over, which was a treat. I tucked it into a hollow in a fallen tree after taking pictures.
Identifiable traits:
-antennae twice length of head
-black legs with white tarsi
-wasp like appearance
Almost certainly S. internum based on location, but I suppose I can't rule out S. obtrusum.
