These guys have me stumped. I must have gone from cover to cover in my European and Mediterranean Marine Fish ID guide a dozen times looking for something resembling these but I can't find anything. Websites on canary islands marine life aren't yielding anything either. Which is strange because these guys seemed quite common around fuerteventura, I saw shoals of these several times.
