Nest monitored under permit as part of a long-term population monitoring program. Unusual substrate and placement, and slightly unusual structure.

In Ashe Juniper and oak woodland.

3 songs in about 35 seconds. Shortly after, a male landed about three feet from me, hopped around on several branches seemingly eyeing me, then left.
