right next to adder's tongue, 10% grade
Habitat: Redwood forest adjacent to stream bank. Site a transect (+30 ft. each direction along trail from center) along North facing steep slope. Humus-y & clay soil. Several trees have fallen across trail. "transect" about 30-40 feet from creek. Understory dominated by ferns w/ adder's tongue at good cover. Liverworts & moss common on leaf litter and logs. Small drainage @ plot center. 63 degrees F.
