Found in the grass at the Titusville Rifle and Pistol Club. Weather conditions: 83 degrees Fahrenheit (28.33 degrees Celsius) and mostly cloudy. Habitat conditions: somewhat wooded. The Titusville area often experiences lengthy rainstorms. Mushroom was fairly isolated with no other mushrooms visible. I initially thought the specimen was a Spring Polypore due to the similar cap shape, but another user proposed that it was really Lentinus crinitus. Upon further inspection and comparison, the furry appearance of the caps of Lentinus crinitus certainly do resemble that of the specimen in question.
