Description

This guy was right outside our back window enjoying the bounty of acorns that have fallen on the ground from our oak trees. We also were able to watch him bury an acorn.

Thought it was a wasp when it was flying around, but knew it wasn't once it landed. We have no clue what this thing is.

A large lizard (around 10 inches) found on tree trunk outside of Copeland Soldier Service Center. Very fast and wary when I approached.

Description

Hard to tell. Small yellow bird (no more than 6 inches), black markings on tail. Seen two other birds, slightly slightly larger, with black markings on tail and head. Was perched on garden plant. Think it's American goldfinch?
