I would like help with ID. Green Shrimp with eggs camouflaged in green caulurpa, I considered Periclimenes spp as most closely shape same...-but haven't found a green one.. Was told by another possibly: Palaemonetes vulgaris, also known as the common American prawn, or common grass shrimp, marsh grass shrimp or marsh shrimp, is a common species of shrimp in the western Atlantic Ocean.
Location accurate. Seen on a kayak trip from Deering Point (free launch site) to Black Ledge. Main plan was to snorkel around Black Ledge but I was also hoping to see migratory seabirds (horned grebe and scoters were the main ones on my mind) during my paddle. No luck with the birds and the snorkeling wasn't anything out of this world but I was happy to get out to a new spot and add some observations. The water was cold for me (about 78 according to windy.com) and I had no wetsuit so I didn't stay in the water for too long. I also did some Sargassum netting on the paddle back. I paddled around 9.5 miles in total.
Conditions: very low winds when I shoved off around 7:30AM, the bay was fairly flat. Wind picked up on my way back, out of the SSE but not too too wavy.

Spent the afternoon and evening shelling. Went especially bonkers, collecting over 300 shells. Still in the process of photographing and posting!

Collected on a windy and cloudy day on Miami Beach. I came mostly for shells but also snapped some pics of dune plants and sea beans. Conditions weren't great for finding shells as the tide was coming in and the waves were rough. It was much easier when I came out a little over a week ago. I also picked up lots of trash while looking for shells.
