Note: this is a rescue transplant from Mt. Tabor Park in Paulding County. This seemed a suitable and unobtrusive place to give them a new home. They were transplanted in spring of 2023. At the time of planting none had any buds or blossoms. This spring(2024) one has produced a bloom and has also produced a second, smaller scale from the same rhizome. It seems they're thriving in their new home.
At a dense mixed (hickory-oak) forest edge.
