Love the way they play dead!! It really works! Some pup is learning Possums are GOOD! The babies are so cute! No one harmed!
Momma gathered her brood and continued her day eating cicadas ... i'm thinking!! They are so welcomed!

Today I observed many White Oak and Pin Oak leaves damaged by the Oak Shothole Leafminer (Japanagromyza viridula) fly.
I also checked around the Chestnut Oaks on my property but did not see any leaves with this same damage.
Maybe these observations are a result of an atypical outbreak this year (or maybe I just never noticed this type of leaf damage before), but I plan to look for it on green leaves when the trees leaf out in the spring.
