Growing under Pinus abies
On dead tree. Cup-shaped found through June-November.
Small cup like fruiting bodies
has fine black hairs along the edge of cups. Red to orange in pigmentation. Cups were fragile and had a slight waxy texture. Growing on a rotting log of an unknown species due to it's current state of decay. Was found along side many byophite species.
One key characteristic is the brown bruising that is caused by touching or scratching the pores.
