Description

Albino. I have observed albino growth on this tree in the past. When I last checked this tree (Spring 2020) there was no albino growth present.

Description

Large tree, deciduous with alternate, flat, lobed leaves with small spines at lobe apex. Abaxially golden-puberelent with not impressed veins. Only staminate flowers apparent on this individual. Inforesence a pendant catkin, sepals enclose many stamen. Light colored bark. Acorn woolly inside and acron cup scaly. Living with other oaks near transition to Sequoia sempervirens dominated habitat.
