Fungus
Found scattered, the small conical one about 8ft away from the others, but all had the characteristic blackening reaction. I kept the small conical one and one of the others for my fungarium and possible further examination.

Suillus sp. was found near the base of Pseudotsuga menziesii . It is a heavily wooded area dominated by Pseudotsuga menziesii and Pinus sp. in the overstory, the understory has Mahonia sp., Vaccinium sp., Corallorhiza sp., Polystichum munitum, Pteridium sp. and the forest floor is carpeted with moss in most areas.
My family picked this Amanita Muscaria on a walk. I put it in a plastic bag to conserve, I plan on inoculating my sideyard.

Habitat: Found near Rimrock Lake in a coniferous forest dominated by Pinus ponderosa and Pseudotsuga menziesii.
Key features: Fruticose thallus, very bright yellow-green color, abundant apothecia with brown disks, lacking soredia and isidia as far as I could tell. Quite an exciting find, it’s such a beautiful lichen!
