Nearly every year in august a BEKI visits us for a day or two but the boat lift cable in boat cove is the ONLY appropriate place for them to perch. this year TWO arrived together but were unwilling to share the cable. poor dears.

Red Foxes kill these shrews and leave them in the trails for us. Sometimes they even bring us one directly. Red foxes do not seem to eat shrews during the summer when seabirds are available.
