Centred on the GPS coordinates provided is a large private block of 11,348ha. Kiwi records have been kept since late 2002 and the block was also surveyed by Sid Marsh (for Wildland Consultants) in 1997. There are kiwi present in low numbers. Perhaps up a dozen pairs across the whole block, indicating a non-viable population.
