loral's Identifications

This observation is for a representative individual for fish, which I think is European Carp. ...
At least two individuals were coming up to the surface (presumably to feed), so I would occasionally see a large mouth at the surface of the river, very close to shore. There was a plastic rotor-like disk floating on the surface, which was about 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter, for scale.
Found in the river, next to the Red River Primitive Trail, north of Lindenwood Park in south Fargo, ND.

I think this flowering plant is a Common Motherwort. It had some black and orangish beetles on it (for which I will make a separate observation). Found NW of the circle loop (near the main parking area), along the road to the river landing, within M.B. Johnson Park.
