We usually see Aplysia juliana around these eggs coloured both yellow and purple, but there is also the other Aplysia sp. around so will leave as Aplysia unless I see them spawning it.
Just spawned on a wharf pylon with more around doing the same.

Rescued at low tide trapped in a shallow rockpool
This was the only one I saw. Overall there was little washup either here at Maketu foreshore or along at the Kaituna River. At the river mouth there were a few tree branches and freshwater weeds that had come down the river and washed onto the beach. Not much though.

Mid to low intertidal, a pair (the two individuals photographed) was found under an encrusted rock resting on the reef.
