Found underneath a wet, rotting log in the soil. Approximately 1 1/2 inches long. A member of the Class Diplopoda and Order Spirobolida. Two tagmata present: the cephalon and the trunk. A cylindrical dark grey body with red legs on each segment. Has many segments throughout body, which are very apparent. Body is a hard exoskeleton on the dorsal side. A pair of short antennae on anterior end underneath two simple eyes. Often curl into a ball for protection (conglobation).
