Description

I visited Padre Island during a low tide event and observed many Lettered Olive, Oliva (now Americoliva) sayana exposed by the tide, leaving their paths in the sand as they moved along near the water mark.

This is a common species locally. I was glad to see many individuals in a relatively short span of the beach that I visited.

This is a predatory gastropod that feeds on other mollusks.
