Dark orange and light orange little flowers. I see a couple of different butterflies on here all the time
This hawk was about the size of a small chicken. I did not get a good look at the underside of the tail. However we seem to have a lot of white tailed hawks in this area.
Crow
I have a sound clip. I don’t know how to add it yet.

One female? using the hummingbird feeder to her advantage.
Hawk at the back of St. Paul's Hospital feeding on a small animal maybe a mouse.
The regular/expected hummingbird species in the Austin area are Black-chinned and Ruby-throated. Which species predominates at backyard feeders depends upon what part of the area you live in. In my area, 15 miles west of Austin, about 95% of the hummers are Black-chinned, but we get a handful of Ruby-throated as well. This is a male Ruby-throated.

This black-chinned was doing the oddest thing -- it was swooping down around the branches, back and forth, dive-bombing, and making an odd noise... We looked for a female he was trying to impress but didn't see any. Will have to look up this behavior! :)
