Description

I think this hawk is a Northern Harrier. It definitely has a white band before the tail, but it goes underneath as well... It was a pleasure to watch this hawk soaring past just above the tree line, from my position at the roadside observation platform. Found along the southwesternmost part of the Prairie Edge Wildlife Drive, within Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge east of St. Cloud, MN.
