Q. phellos. Tentative ID. Six galls from the same tree. Small oblate spheroid bud galls, no nipple, not hidden by bud scales. (one gall has a seam down the center - compromised?). Sending to Forbes lab.

There are a lot of open pre emergence holes throughout the area. This one was out of a hole and lose under the leaf liter.

Q. bicolor. Six galls from the same tree. Sending to Forbes lab. I'll keep an eye on this tree later in the season for q-alba-mottled-bud galls
