Found in freshwater sample collected from turbid water with a sprig of submerged vegetation near the boat ramp in Colusa. 250-micron banana-shaped alga, tentative ID based on AI. Phase, darkfield and brightfield images.

On trunk of Black Oak, collected a portion, maybe Physconia or similar? Thallus is K negative in water cross section, rhizines appear thick and squarrose, portion of the lower surface look quite whitish, possibly denuded of lower cortex?
