Mostly came out to get some practice getting recordings with a microphone in the field. Also wanted to explore a new area, which I saw had been burned earlier this year. It was quite flooded due to the strong rain event we had last Wednesday (pretty much a tropical storm although it wasn't named). I ended up going to the Frog Pond after to try to get some other bird recordings.

Started the day hiking near the Coe in a pine glade, mostly practicing using a microphone getting recordings in the field. Eventually opted to try to the frog pond for more birds.
