2.2 mm, gaster lacks acidopore, first gastral segment projects over petiole, anterior clypeal margin with ventral curved setae about the same length as closed mandibles, scape and mesosoma with sparse setae, ground nest with central pore and scattered debris
While waiting for the total solar eclipse I noticed this black ant on my driveway running around. This was one of the common workers of the colony because it is dark with no wings unlike flying adults.
