Lots flashing in the little triangle park next to where I stopped for this one that I caught in flight.
Still tons of these in the neighborhood at dusk! Caught flying. When lighting, it flew in an upward motion.
This one was making very short flashes from the lawn grass. Could it be a female? I tried unsuccessfully to get a short video of its flash by waiting for it to flash. In hindsight, I should have just turned on video, waited, and then edited out all the wait. Many common eastern fireflies were flashing in the yard.
This was the second individual observed while hiking the Porters Creek Trail. It was slightly smaller than the first.
