Poor phone photo.
This was definitely an alligator lizard, not an anole, sceloporus, whiptail, etc.
Found during a rainstorm. Frog has no yellow coloration common in gray tree frogs and is missing the white stripe of the green tree frogs found in Oklahoma.
I found this lizard on a small dead plant on a limestone outcrop by a wash where Lake Travis used to intrude. There was full cloud cover and it felt to be about 70°F. Wind speed was about 10mph.
It is a sunny day in North Laredo TX
Temperature 87 Degrees Fahrenheit
Species found: American Toad
(Baby Frog)
This frog was found next to 4 others of the same species
It’s brown color and small size made it difficult to identify.
I've been hearing these in my yard for years. There were literally dozens calling this evening. I told my wife I had never seen one and she responded, "Why are you talking to me then?" Snapped this pic within 30 seconds low on a tree.
