Forming a carpet in a shady area
Eating worms that fled the rain onto the footpath
I thought it worth recording this sighting because it was at just after midnight. I don't think I was roosting here because the position was fairly exposed and it moved its head several times in the couple of minutes I observed it. I'm becoming interested in the night time behaviour of Pied Currawongs as I've heard them calling in the middle night several times in the last few months.
Apologies for the photo quality, but definitely a Pied Currawong. All black except for white tail and wing patches, yellow eyes, right call for a currawong. The currawong and a kookaburra were being harassed by noisy miners and a pied butcherbird too.
