My very first ever stinkhorn and the start of something! I got home and Google searched "stinky fungus". I've now observed two types of stinkhorns and I'm on the hunt for more, more, more. This was my first and will always be the special one that got me started on this journey.

In the litter below a cypress tree. Although it smelled faintly of squid, the arms were not connected and resembles C. archeri rather than P. fusiformis.

A SPECTACULAR find today! I haven't seen Clathrus archeri since my very first find on 14 April 2021.
And not only did I see one today, but many - there must have been about five of them within 3m of each other.
And even better - there were a bunch of eggs too. This is only the second time that I've seen eggs together with the stinkhorns (last time it was an Aseroe rubra egg). Lots, lots, lots!
This trail is named Braambos by the mountain bikers, but I think it should be 'Devil's Corridor'.
