Description

Common name: Milk Thistle
Scientific Name:
Time of Observation: 1058 HRS
Date: 05-22-14
Weather: Overcast
Temperature: 64 F

NOTES:
There were only four of these plants, slightly off the trail on a hill with a shallow incline. The leaves are sharp on the edges and stabbed me a few times. There is a liquid substance inside the leaf, which is shiny and smooth on top. The plant looks like a flower from the bird's eye view. It grows directly on the ground, and there were a few of them kind of growing in a small area. I did not see any other plants like this one around during my hike up the hill. This one was a rare find.
