I saw these sea hairs wash up on the beach is large numbers usually over a few Km of the beach. I also saw them underwater and they were usually all cruising along in a long line 10-20 animals wide. 'Traditional folklore' on Bazaruto Island sais that when these wash up on the beach "that is how baby oysters are born"
