Camp CommonGround visit 5/12/17

We saw some tracks in the trap we figured out that it was a raccoon. The weather was sunny and warm. We took the trap out and Mr.Frank took it with him and instead of the trap know we have a camera to see if we can catch any animals on camera. Also Olivia smashed a apple and i broke in pieces then we put that on the ground in front of the camera and we also put a little bit of peanut butter near and kind of on the apple.

May 2nd camp common ground vist

This was our 4th or 5th visit to camp common ground to check on the traps. It rained a little bit but not the whole time. It was humid. Before we went to my groups trap we saw so ground that was dug up. When we got to the trap the food was gone and the chalk was all watery so we had to clean it up. We cleaned the whole trap up. We put cabbage and peanut butter in the trap also we put new chalk. We also put new contact paper down and we stapled it down so it wouldn't move. The trap is in the same place but we moved it back a little bit. We also camouflage it like we did the other time we actually camouflage it with the same stuff. We also saw two large frogs and two snakes they were milk snakes.

Camp Common Ground Visit 4/18/17

So we went to camp common ground and there was no tracks in the tracking trap. We replaced the contact paper and the chalk. Also we replaced the food and we put apple chunks. There was mice scat and prints. We moved the tracking trap to another area a couple feet away from where it was originally. We camouflaged the trap with brush and twigs(not that much twigs). The trap is in between three trees and the trap is also closer to a whole bunch of brush.

Camp Common Ground visit 3/24/17

We saw bunny tracks also it was 30 degrees out with a little snow. For bait we used cabbage and peanut butter. When we saw the bunny traps we set the tracking trap there near the tracks. The trap has something like a plate with chalk then they go onto paper which leaves there print and then they finally get food. The Tracking trap was near a pond in the woods near a little bit(it was on the edge of the woods) It was by a little falling tree there were a lot of brush near the woods.
