Rhubarb
The Rhubarb was tall, on south facing hill.

Saw 5 pairs of wood ducks.

Lots of Kinglets.

Saw the red-bellied woodpecker start making a nest.

Several red-eared sliders sunning themselves.

Red-bellied Woodpecker, a nice surprise to see.

Lots of grackles.

Blacked-capped Chickadee

Red-winged blackbirds were making lots of noise.

Leucistic American Robin

Mallard hybrid. They were enjoying eating out of the Black Creek Flood Control Channel.

I've been seeing song sparrows in this area.

Junco still around, a bit of ice on one pond.

Goldfinch, with its bright colours.

Red-eared slider turtle. I suspect the park is a hotspot for people dumping pet turtles.

Blue Jay

Slowly things are turning green.

Walked around Smythe Park, in Toronto, 19^C weather. The first nice day after winter.

Saw my first turtle of the season.

Saw a grackle in the backyard today, under the bird feeder. Surprised as it's a very enclosed space. Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

It must be spring, this little guy was singing louder than the construction noise on Vaughan Rd.

Saw this Red-bellied woodpecker.

As well as this downy woodpecker, and a few more like it.

Saw this American Goldfinch eating the new buds. The buds are only a few days old.

This coyote looks almost like it bred with a dog.

This woodpecker was in the process of making a very perfect, circular, hole in the tree.
