Why did the deer cross the road?
I was sitting in my front room on a Saturday morning when I noticed that there were two deer in my yard heading for the road. We live on a very busy road and people drive by at very high speed. In the three years that we have lived here there have been three deer hit in front of our house. Thinking that I could do my good deed for the day I went out in the front yard to encourage them to go back to the woods behind the house. They were not very afraid of me but did grudgingly go back to the woods. Ten minutes later I looked out and noticed that the two deer were near the road again. This time they had gotten to the point that if I went back outside I would only scare them into the road. I could tell by the way they acted that they were very nervous about crossing the road but it was as if something was driving them. There was obviously nothing behind them driving them. I am not sure why the deer crossed the road.
