First Migration Event

Last night was my first visit to a migration event. It was pretty awesome hanging with a group of fellow students trying to do our best to help herps across the road before they were hit by passing vehicles. I think next time it would be helpful to collect data samples of all the species and the number helped. A side study would be helpful to see how many mortalities were also encountered during the walk.

In all we observed 12 species total, with the fun pleasure of witnessing a breeding pool of Ambystoma maculatum. I look forward to a chance to do so once again in the future.
