Nice and snug in a former kookaburra nest hole (where a pair of kookaburras nested this summer just past). Five seconds after the kookaburras finished with it, the possum moved in! A couple of panned-back shots show landscape context. Very close to the hugely-busy Kidspace playground and only metres from busy Murphy Road.

Image captured whilst on a spotlighting circuit, varying between 1.5 km to 3 km depending on track conditions, through a 20 ha block of predominantly Sedgy Riparian Woodland (EVC 198) in the Wombat State Forest, Lyonville.

Seen in an old kookaburra hole in a termitarium in a tree at the east edge of the Craigslea School precinct, Chermside West. Just inside school boundary but easily visible from adjacent public footpath. I have identified as a Brushtail but it is fluffy enough that it might instead be some kind of Glider; would appreciate others' opinions on the matter. I have included a panned-back photo of the habitat tree.
