Comments

Tennessee River Form:
• Found in Tennessee and surrounding states, but also in parts of Texas and Oklahoma.
• Very thick hinge
• Broad and high umbones
• Shells are taller than they are long
• Shell is symmetrical except for the umbones

Peace River Form:
• Found mostly in the Southeast U.S.
• Possible rays in the periostracum
• Lower beaks
• Triangular shape

Brisbane River Form:
• Found in Brisbane, Australia
• Completely white nacre
• Pale yellowish-tan periostracum
• Lacking rays or blotches of color on the beak

Lake Okeechobee Form:
• Found in Lake Okeechobee in Florida
• Closely packed striae

Other than the striae the Tennessee River form looks a lot like Corbicula fluminalis
