Description

Mosca del roedor parasitando una rata de campo cazada por un grupo de ejidatarios en las tierras de uso común del Ejido Espíritu Santo, municipio de Pinos, Zac.

El parásito estaba alojado en la garganta, mismo que le había perforado la piel y que fue retirado para su mejor observación.

Hábitat: matorral xerófilo a 2081 msnm con presencia de nopal (Opuntia sp.), palma (Yucca sp.), cardenche (Cylindropuntia sp.), gobernadora (Larrea tridentata), maguey (Agave sp.), sangre de drago (Jatropha dioica) y chaparro.
