El parásito estaba alojado en la garganta, mismo que le había perforado la piel y que fue retirado para su mejor observación. Hábitat: matorral xerófilo a 2081 msnm con presencia de nopal (Opuntia sp.), palma (Yucca sp.), cardenche (Cylindropuntia sp.), gobernadora (Larrea tridentata), maguey (Agave sp.), sangre de drago (Jatropha dioica) y chaparro.
