Cape Citizen Science: Chlorotic fynbos plant sample

Sampled some of the roots of this specimen to see if Phytophthora is causing the chlorosis. The roots had lesions. This site was mostly regeneration from a recent fire. Is Phytophthora affecting the regeneration after fire?

Please help ID this sample.
