Explore and Add Observations to these NZ projects

There are lots of great Projects on iNaturalist, in NZ and globally, so many that you can get lost in all the excitement. To help you find fantastic NZ projects, and give you inspiration, this page lists some of the most active, interesting and important projects on iNaturalist NZ–Mātaki Taiao.

Some of these projects are "traditional projects" on iNat, to which you manually add observations. Others are "collection projects" which automatically harvest iNat observations with the right combination of place, time, taxa, and users. Both are useful ways to gather up clusters of similar iNat observations.
