I am natural history writer (first) and wildlife photographer (second). I have authored 11 books on Australian wildlife, contributed to four more titles and published several scientific papers on the birds of Australia and New Guinea. I was also the 'Bird Nerd' columnist for Australian Geographic Magazine for three years.
I worked for the Australian Museum in Sydney, Australia for a period spanning 20 years, working primarily in birds and reptiles. Since leaving the museum I have travelled extensively, researching, studying and photographing nature.
