I am an entomologist. My main interest is weeds biological control and right now I am working on aquatic and semi-aquatic weeds in rice fields. I worked on Azolla biological control in northern region of Iran for a few years and after introduction of S. rufinasus, I am monitoring the area and evaluate both weevil and weed population densities. I am working in rice research institute of Iran and due to my work conditions, I need to collect information about rice pests as well. My working areas have Hyrcania climatic condition and it has rich fauna and flora and has great condition for creating insect-plant different interactions. In my working area rice is one of the most important crops, therefore I need to search for methods for mutual biological control of both weeds and rice pests.
