Avid amateur naturalist x30 years with scientific PhD training. Primary expertise in birds, with more than 8,000 species identified in over 150 countries. Currently based in Lantau, Hong Kong. Working to learn about / document the substantial biodiversity of this special place, a true 'biobank' in a great city more famous for traditional financial resources. Seeking to play a small part in supporting the enjoyment and protection of nature for all Hong Kong residents, including our children's children, development pressures notwithstanding.
