iNaturalist gives me a great excuse to be outside looking around, it's a hobby unto itself. It makes any stroll or hike into a scavenger hunt. I am addicted to uploading flora and fauna to my observation list, and getting research grade is the ultimate pat on the back.
I also love the term citizen scientist, everyone using iNat is one.
