My formal education is in art, specifically drawing/painting and photography. I have always been fascinated with the natural world and several years ago I moved to the edge of the Angeles National Forest and have begun planting a native garden. Most of my observations are from what I observe in my own garden, with occasional forays out and about. I am forever curious and enjoy learning about all the flora and fauna of my region.
