I am a bug enthusiast! It started when a few Eastern Black Swallowtail caterpillars showed up on my parsley. Soon after, I was gobbling up info on them and raising them each summer. I started generalizing my thirst for knowledge on the complex lives on tiny critters. I volunteer at a data agency that uses aquatic insects as indicators of water health, and that's allowed me to spend time of pro entomologists. The biodiversity down here is incredible, and I am thrilled to participate in the iNaturalist community and learn more! By day, I work for a national animal protection agency, where I help develop training programs on shelter animal behavioral wellness.
